Your first visit

Everything begins with a facial.

Every new client starts with a facial and a close look at their skin.

You don’t need to arrive knowing what to book. We’ll decide together where your skin should begin.

01

Assessment

We start with a conversation. I ask about your skin’s history, routine, and goals, then look closely at how it’s doing today.

02

Facial

I shape your facial around what I see. Each step is chosen for your skin, and I adjust as it responds. If an advanced treatment isn’t right for your skin yet, it can wait.

03

Your plan

We talk through what makes sense next: another session, a series, or time to see how your skin responds. Your home routine stays practical. What’s working can stay.

Before you arrive

A few things to bring and keep in mind before your first visit:

  • Please take clear photos of the skincare products you use, with the labels visible. Photos are preferred, so there’s no need to bring the products. Include products you use regularly and occasionally, including prescription or medicated skincare.
  • Let me know if you’re pregnant, might be pregnant, or breastfeeding when booking, and include it on your consultation form.
  • List any prescription or over-the-counter medications and relevant supplements on your consultation form.
  • Set aside 90–120 minutes for your first visit. It takes longer than a maintenance appointment.
  • Check your booking confirmation for arrival and building-entry details. Valet parking is available.

Booking, deposit, and cancellation details are on the Policies page.

First-visit questions

How do I know what to book?

If you’re new to me, begin with the first-visit appointment. It gives us time to talk, look closely at your skin, and choose a treatment that makes sense for you. You don’t need to choose professional products, machines, or modalities before we meet.

How long should I plan to be at Ethereal?

Set aside 90–120 minutes for your first visit. For other appointments, check the duration when booking, and allow a little extra time for arrival, consultation, and checkout.

Is consultation time included?

Yes. Consultation and skin assessment are part of your visit. What you share about your skin and its history helps me decide what’s appropriate and safe for that day.

Can I receive an advanced treatment during my first visit?

Possibly, but it isn’t automatic. Some treatments need a prior assessment, skin preparation, specific home care, or medical clearance. If it makes sense for your skin, I’ll talk you through the next step.

Why do you ask for photos of my skincare products?

Seeing what you use helps me understand your routine and offer step-by-step suggestions that make sense for your skin. We’ll go through it together during your facial.

Will I have to replace my entire routine?

No. If a product is working well for your skin, it can stay. I’ll suggest a change only when there’s a clear reason.

Will I leave red?

Some temporary redness can happen after cleansing, extractions, exfoliation, or certain advanced treatments. Your response depends on the service and your skin’s sensitivity. If redness is more significant or lasts longer than expected, please contact me.

What happens if I arrive late?

Please let me know if you’re running behind. A late arrival can shorten your treatment time, and a significant delay may mean adjusting or rescheduling your appointment. Any fees or deposit changes follow the booking policy.

You bring the history.

I’ll look closely at your skin and build the protocol from there.
